2023 Budget Amendment
The proposed amendment to the 2023 period of the current 2022-2023 biennial budget was presented to the Common Council on October 4, 2022. The Finance Committee then held three meetings to review the material in detail before bringing some nominal revisions back to the Common Council on November 1st. In it, two versions of an amended 2023 Budget were presented as the results of the November 8th referendum fall only one week before the 2022 levy must be adopted by the Common Council at their November 15th meeting. One version of the proposed 2023 amendment (2023A) assumes the Fire/EMS referendum passes. The alternate version (2023B) assumes the referendum does not pass. The November 1st presentation can be found here.
The original 2022-2023 Budget document has been updated with both 2023 budget amendment alternatives. Please note, only Revenues and Expenditures for all funds have been updated and a new Budget Message. Remaining narratives, metrics, and illustrations will be updated before final approval and publication in December. The proposed 2023 Budget Amendment can be found here.
A public hearing will be held on November 15th 2022 for additional public comment and input before the Council considers adoption.
