Whitewater, Wis. April 14, 2026 - The City of Whitewater will conduct large item (bulk) pickup on the following Thursdays: May 7, May 14, May 21, and May 28, 2026.

What to Know:
These special pickups are for items too large to fit in your garbage or recycling toters.
Not accepted: yard waste, construction materials, hazardous materials, or electronics (including TVs).

  • Electronics Recycling Event:
    Saturday, May 16, 2026
    9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (or until capacity is reached)
    Location: Lot B at Cravath Lakefront
    Arrive early as space is limited.

  • Placement Guidelines:

    • Place bulk items at least 6 feet away from toters, not in front of or next to them.

    • Accepted items include furniture, carpeting, large metal items, appliances, and flattened cardboard boxes.

    • Automotive batteries, tires (limit 2 per home per month), and used oil (in sealed 1–5 gallon containers) must also be placed 6 feet away.

  • Timing Requirements:

    • Do not place items out before 4:00 p.m. the day prior to collection.

    • Remove containers and any remaining items by 9:00 a.m. the day after pickup.
