Update - No Wipes Down the Pipes

“City staff have been experiencing numerous pump failures in a sanitary sewer lift station servicing the west side of the City.  If you live or work on the west side, in the shaded area of the map, please review your use of wipes that may be marketed as “flushable”.  While it is true, they do flush down the toilet, they do not readily breakdown and result in clogged pumps and sewage backing up in lines.  Please dispose of these flushable wipes through the garbage.  We appreciate everyone’s help in protecting our public infrastructure.”
