The city of Whitewater does not allow the posting of signs on the city owned terrace area between the sidewalk and the street. If citizen's are interested in posting a yard sign they may do so on their lawns between the sidewalk and their houses.
The City of Whitewater would like to remind all citizens that it is time to remove political and related yard signs from previous elections. Per city code, citizens are allowed 90 days before and 10 days after an election to display political signs.
We do understand that there is a current election (February 21st) going on. Enforcement will be taking place regarding signs from previous elections and other non-conforming signs.
