The Irvin L. Young Memorial Library was built in 1991 with seed money for the project donated by the Irvin L. Young Foundation. The previous library was located on Main Street in the White Memorial Building, which currently houses the Whitewater Arts Alliance and Whitewater TV, the local access cable channel.
The library is a member of the Bridges Library System of Jefferson and Waukesha counties and the CAFÉ consortium.
