November 1st - Winter Parking Ordinance Goes Into Effect
11.16.020 No winter time parking between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m.
(a) It is unlawful for the operator or owner of any vehicle to park the vehicle on any street in the city between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m. on any day from November 1st of each year to March 31st of each year, except as hereinafter provided:
(1) Physicians and surgeons shall be permitted to park vehicles at any time when the physician is on emergency call.
(2) By special advance arrangement with the Whitewater Police Department.
(b) Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalties and provisions set forth at Sections 11.56.010(4) and 11.56.010(5) of this title.

Parking Permits on Sale November 8th
Parking permits for January 1, 2014 through May 31, 2014 will be on sale at the Whitewater Police Department lobby on November 8th starting at 8:00 am.

Crime Victim Services
The WI Statewide VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender’s custody status changes. The VINE toll-free number for the WI Statewide VINE system is 888-868-4631. This service is provided to assist victims of crime who have a right to know about their offender's custody status.
