The Office of the City Clerk is available to assist with information about elections, voter registration, licensing, information regarding the Common Council and the City Ordinances, Assessment information, Board of Review information, Open Records, the filing of Claims against the City of Whitewater, City Boards and Commissions, General information about city services can be provided as well. The Clerk’s Office is located on the 2nd floor of the City of Whitewater Municipal Building, 312 W. Whitewater Street, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Michele Smith has worked for the City of Whitewater since 1994, and has served as City Clerk since September, 2000.    As Clerk, Michele handles Election administration; alcohol, event and other licensing; city real estate and assessment records; Common Council minutes; and open records requests.  She also oversees the preparation of the Common Council agenda and serves as the Council liaison.  Michele attended Whitewater High School and UW-Whitewater.  She completed the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Institute in 1999.
